Well it's quarter to three in the morning and I can't sleep... URG! I tried going to bed early but we had a huge thunderstorm and that went on for an hour or two that kept me up. So to hopefully make myself sleepy I though that i'd write about something and that first thing that came to my mind was to write about the jewelry board that I just finished making!! :D
I wasn't really ever a big jewelry person but all that changed when I attended a Stella & Dot (www.stelladot.com) jewelry party hosted by a cousin of mine. I was hooked! Now i'm a full forced jewelry lover :) I did recently host a Stella and Dot Party and got some great deals on beautiful pieces. I also look for jewelry in places like ardene's or even walmart. Ebay is great for cheaper deals, as well as looking in thrift stores for jewelry. You'd be surprised how many good jewelry items that you can find for very cheap!!! Adding more and more pieces to my jewelry box it started getting a little full so I have pinterest to thank for giving me the idea to create my own jewelry board to display it all! (**and for those of you that don't know what pinterest.com is, I definitely insist that you check it out because it is amazing and I've been hooked for a while! It's a site where you can share and find amazing ideas about jewelry, food, party ideas, fitness, favorite quotes, decorating, your favorite things and so many other things**). Anyways I took some pictures on the steps that it took for me to create it so I hope you enjoy :)

I bought a picture frame from a thrift store

and spray painted it white.
I found a pillow case with a pattern that I liked and it was the perfect size then
I hot glued the fabric to the cardboard from the picture frame.
I put the cardboard with fabric on it into the frame and hot glued pieces of cork to the back of the cardboard.
And this is what it looked like before I put all of the hardware on :)
And this is the hardware! Gold cup pulls, gold drawer handles, gold buttons, gold c hooks (three different sizes), wooden dowels as well as a strip of blue lace.
Amazing finished project! :D
Two more closer looks
